Recording Live Performances

If you’re a music fan and would love to record the masterpiece created by yourself, Free Sound Recorder must be the right one for you to record live performances.

Connect a Mic to the Microphone input of the PC and directly record the live performance from the Mic sound source. It is important to notice that on many computers the Microphone input is mono, but not stereo. That means even if you connect a stereo Mic to PC, your recording will not be stereo. Only when you see two separate volume sliders in the window of Free Sound Recorder when the Mic sound source is selected can you record in stereo.

Or you can:

mic Connect the Line-Out output on an external sound system or PA to the Line-In or Aux input on the computer and record from the Line-In, Aux or Auxiliary sound source. This is certainly the most proper solution for complex performances where the sound system has already been in place as in a theater.
